Welcome to Johns Creek
The family-friendly master-planned community home to tech industries and abundant parks
Tucked among the gently sloping foothills of Northern Georgia, Johns Creek is a relatively young master-planned community and a suburb city of Atlanta and is recognized as the
#1 safest city in Georgia to raise a family in 2022! The southeastern border of Johns Creek is defined by the meandering Chattahoochee River, and the city lies just west of Suwanee, south of Lake Lanier. Its population of 83,000 makes it the 10th-largest city in Georgia, and yet its idyllic atmosphere, well-thought-out amenities, and 300 acres of park spaces keep Johns Creek feeling peaceful.
What’s now a bustling and active community began as a simple outpost in the 19th century. It wasn’t until the 1980s that a group of graduates from the Georgia Institute of Technology recognized the convenience of the location and developed Technology Park Johns Creek. The mixed-use development drew in Fortune 500 companies and tons of jobs, and with those came residents, homes, and commercial businesses.
Johns Creek wasn’t officially incorporated until 2006, but since then has managed to establish itself among top contenders for residential appeal in Georgia. Since the majority of houses were built in the 1990s and later, Johns Creek offers a wide variety of new-build single-family homes that can range from the mid-400 thousands all the way past $1 million. The architecture trends towards contemporary elegance, and with ample amenities, these homes are more than worth the price.
